Walking up Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon within 24 hours. I have decided to support my colleagues by taking part in this event as well, it's always nice to do things where you are not the worst at doing them and this is the role I seek to fill for their benefit.
I think I have decided to make rum cocktails to satisfy my drinking requirements at Bearded Theory. This provides two options, Grog or Punch. I had something that was supposed to be Grog in Peru and it was utterly foul so that may not be a good option which leaves Punch. Apparently this is made from lemons, rum, cold tea and spices. I like tea, lemons and rum so that couldn't possibly go wrong.
I think I will experiment with recipes this weekend.

2 months to go until this years Tour Of France commences. Bradley has vowed to defend his victory of last year and go one further by also winning the Cycle Around Italy, something not many people ever manage to do.
Last year Bradley was ably assisted by team mate Chris Froome who remains on the team and staunchly vowed to, also win the Tour Of France.
I quite fancy going to The More Festival in Venice as the Bieannale is on at the same time, so I had a look at flights and I could go to Venice for £40 return from East Midlands, bargain I thought but then looking at accomodation I discover that it's £30 to even stay in a ten bed dorm which isn't even in Venice proper, this makes a five day stay rather costly especially if you factor in the the cost of a festival ticket. I'm looking at £350 before I've even bought an overpriced pint of beer.
This morning whilst lazing in a semi awake stuporific doze I dreamt that Nuisance my ex cat had learned how talk. To start with she could only say "Puuurrrfect" but then very quickly became a very fluent indeed. She had got herself a pet parrot and was keen to get her hands on hundreds of pet parrots which she was intending to use to construct a castle for herself.
Report of the evening for the benefit of future Joe on the occasion of his 79th Birthday.
Back in those days we mostly still used telephones and the internet to communicate so throughout the afternoon I had been receiving reports that Eileen & Sophie were in the process of missing every available method of transport from their home in Oxford ( before Global Warming so you could still live there without deep sea diving equipment ) to Birmingham. This was before flying cars had been invented so in the end they managed to get on a train.
I got up really early for a Saturday in order to brave my way through the inch and a half of snow that was lying on the ground so that I could get to see Matt and Jess get married. I then discover that the teachers of our clique where complaining about how they were allergic to snow and that buses would stop running and it would be the end of the world as we know it and couldn't possibly get from where they lived to Selly Oak in order to eat kebabs.
