It will be hot and sunny and there will be nice beaches with plenty to bars and oodles of things to see and do but it will no doubt be hell and I'll be wishing every day I was back at work in Burton or trudging through the rain to the Country Girl for a night huddled under the heaters whilst people yell global socio/political doubleplus truths down my ears.
Still, I shall write and let you share in my misery.

Paul wants people to go and watch the Zutons in a forest in Nottinghamshire. It's £26 plus a booking fee of another fiver. Not sure if I actually like the Zutons or not and if I do whether I actually like them enough to pay £31 + accomodation costs to see them.
Anyway you might....

Jamie Jones, Tristan Da Cunha, Jamie Anderson and Adam Shelton playing some minimalist tech house at the Rainbow Warehouse...it will be full of attractive ladies.
Reggae and house music on the Friday night, The Enemy, Art Brut and some Senagalese Bongo Man Dude and other WOMAD type stuff on the Saturday.
There is a plea for people not to bring alcomohol to the festival??? Where's the fun in an alcohol free misic, or is the plea in order that they can sell more over priced rip off britain festival beer??

At Lickey Hills Country Park, 10.45 until 11.30am under the old Scots Pine to the right of the playground. Then on to buffet and beer at the Wildmoor Oak Public House, Wildmoor Oak near Catshill.
If six and half hours solid drinking at the naming ceremony followed by more alcohol at the Paul and Kezza's house isn't enough for you, there is further drinking opportunity later in the evening. My mate Neil (who some of you have met at different festivals) is getting married to Amy (who I don't think any of you have met) at the Custard Factory tomorrow. Tim and Gemma (who most of you know) are coming up from Lowestoft and Matt (former fellow cock basher with a bald head and upwards) is here from Japan for the wedding.

Pohoda is Slovakian for relax and the festival is an attempt to create an atmosphere where revellers can chill out, let down their hair and unwind. Imagine a weekend at a spa but with the soundtrack of some of the world’s greatest acts.
Even the location is calming: an airport located at the foot of the Strazovske vrchy hills in the beautiful valley of the Vah River. The event amalgamates a variety of arts with sculpting, painting, dance, literature and theatre with music being the proverbial glue that holds it all together.

I have reached a ripe old age for a monkey, yes I have. Whilst usually birthdays fall on a weeknight (boo!!) I am in the nice position of it being on a Friday. I think I will probably end up in a pub in town somewhere... suggestions?

The Country Girl is looking for rounders teams to take part in their charity funday, is anyone up for a bit ball in the park action, this coming Sunday. We need 8 people for a team.
There will also be a pig roast and beer.
If anyone is interested I'll go and register a team.
Rounders appears to be a no no - anyone fancy going to Custard Factory to dance to New York Disco. Pendulum are also there.
Probably £15 on door.
There is also a Below Party at the Rainbow Warehouse, live music in the garden of the Prince of Wales, Sander Van Doorn at Godskitchen, a free Leftfoot with a french Hip Hop crew at the Hare and Hounds amongst other stuff that is going on this weekend.

Plus 5th birthday shenanigans and a line up that’s gonna rock your socks off!
Live Acts:
I'll be in my new home in eastern Iceland!
Friday is funny light show and parade day.
Saturday is fireworks day.
Sunday is Kerrangfest dat with the Levellers.
Hopeyfully they'll have some burlesque and ladies writhing around on tables singing 'beat me beat me beat me' again as well.
Hopefully people will actually turn up and watch stuff rather than arriving about an hour before its finished, complaining that this artsfest thing is crap. You know who you are.
In order that we can turn off our fat genes I have booked Badminton at Colmers Farm on Monday @ 8.00pm.
Andy Votel and Pram are playing at the festival in various diffenent venues across Coventry, there is also a gig inside the cathedral spire. Soundsculptures and films at the various different venues...

See you then

I believe some of the club's women are gathering for natter and drinksies (or whatever else the female of our species gets up to) on sat 27th Sept. As this renders some male members inert (oo-er) and home-bound I propose a
MAMMOTH GAMING NIGHT
with as many of us online as possible.
In preparation for this spectacular event it might be wise to cross-reference our multi-player games and for us to, perhaps, get hold of some new game or two to try out.

I am going to the Comedy night at the British Oak tonight, Andy White is the headline and he is very funny.
I am going to Wax:On at the Rainbow Warehouse to see Late of the Pier, Midnight Juggenaughts and Erol Alkan. I might even take Friday off.
I don't know how many of you know (because I haven't exactly done much promotion yet) but I am putting on a charity night in aid of the www.tacheback.com charity at the Sunflower Lounge. Its on the 11th October which is a Saturday and will cost you less than the price of a pint. I guess that not all of you will be able to make it but I'd appreciate it if you tell anyone that might be interested.

Paying an affectionate homage to ‘The Exploding Plastic Inevitable’ and The Velvet Underground and Nico, “the most infuential and unpopular band in history”, there will be performance, film, music, dancing and marshmallows. Dress code is strictly black and white.
This looks pretty good, the people who are behind the All Tomorrows Parties festivals are doing a halloween show at the Custard Factory on the 1st November featuring:
