Christmas is coming.......

I have been asked by my wife and children to make a list of what I would like for Christmas and my birthday.
My ideas have been
Assassins Creed (looks very good)
Call of Duty 4 (Phil said it is amazing)
PES 2008 (Matthew plays this Ste, do you know if it is any good?)
Mass Effect (not too sure about this one)
Kane & Lynch (don't know too much about this one but it looks interesting)
Any comments or suggestions gratefully accepted.

Call of Duty 4
I think this is the best game I've ever played. Apparently it is quite short, and it does seem easier than call of duty 3, but the game play and graphics are amazing. We will never see Chris again after Christmas - unless he's putting a cap in your ass online.

I must admit the single player games on the Call of Duties and Medal of Honours is alright, but only really alright, CoD2 excells in multiplayer mode ... after xmas you will be able to see Chris anynight you want, on your very only tele's, ....
Phil, I had a go on that Bio Shock, that was amazing, any chance I can borrow your copy? and your 360? and CoD4?
Bioshock
I couldn't get into bioshock. It was very impressive, I just think it wasn't my kind of game, so I exchanged it for the orange box which I'm enjoying alot more. I'm debating whether to get assassins creed, or whether to wait until someone else gets it so they can tell me if its any good or not.

But...
Half Life 2 is very good too though. We have been spoiled in the last few months, us 360ers and it doesn't look like it'll stop any time soon.

I sold mine. After I completed it I didn't see myself re-doing the single player. I got almost what I paid for it on ebay.

Assassins Creed (looks very good) - has has mixed reviews. Basically, it is stunning and great fun but the assassinations are a little repetitive. One to wait for a price drop, methinks - although I already asked for it!
Call of Duty 4 (Phil said it is amazing) Short but amazing, apparently. The multiplayer may become the standard "club" multiplayer though - especially if Chris "SAS" K gets his hands on a 360 and a copy. I think he'll be very very good.
PES 2008 (Matthew plays this Ste, do you know if it is any good?) I don't have this. I never got the full worth from FIFA. Not sure what my brother thinks. Chris is right though - football games prices drops like a flightless mallard
Mass Effect (not too sure about this one) This will be THE game of 2007. And possibly 2008 too. It'll be huge - so value for money will be great - and impressive. Probably will be the best RPG on the 360. If you ever saw Knights of the old republic you'll know what you're getting! The only down side? No multiplayer.
Kane & Lynch (don't know too much about this one but it looks interesting) Again, mixed reviews. Apparently AI isn't too hot. For a game like this - that's important. I'm waiting for the price to drop.
I think Call of Duty 4 and Mass Effect are the essential chrimbo purchases.
Cheating
You could do whay my dad used to do and buy Jeanine Assassins Creed and buy the kids the other games. What better presents could they get !

PES, i personally think is a little expensive, and the price should drop as a new one comes out every year and it has to compete with FiFA 07 or 08

I played Halo 3 online the other day for the first time and it was not bad. Anyone fancy trying it sometime? Has everyone got Halo 3?

well, if you are not into it, you might as well get some money for it .... however, you probably should go back to the start, with Halo 1, and let the story unfold, however, even the original Halo never made me go back and keep playing it again and again like Goldeneye did....
