New coin designs...

The Royal Mint has unveiled the first new designs for Britain's coins since decimalisation nearly 40 years ago. The Mint commissioned new "reverse" designs for the 1p, 2p, 5p, 10p, 20p, 50p and £1 coins that feature the shield of the royal arms to partner the Queen's head on the flip side.

Ugly

I think that they are ugly and look unfinished.

Weird

They look like some of wierd jigsaw where if you join them up you see the whole picture.

?

I think that is the idea Joe.

But

They don't fit together, it's not right there would be gaps !

Thanks!

I like the fact that you explained for us what a jigsaw is!

Clarity

I just didn't want anyone to get confused and think I meant the saw type of jigsaw. Trying to saw things with blunt coins that aren't sharp could potentially have someones eye out in some circumstances.
