The weather forecast for Madrid is predicting 39 degrees and clear skys on Saturday ( 18 degrees overnight ) and a super mega massively high sun burn risk factor. 33 degrees right now, a bit of rain on Thursday and otherwise hot and sunny. Looking good.
What I actually meant to say in that post, book in on-line as early as possible 'cos it's obvious no one at all has actually paid to pre-reserve seats so you can choose a nice window one with plenty of leg room if you get in early enough. I have the best seat in the whole plane, oh yeah baby !
Also I need to somehow wash everything I intend to pack and dry it before tomorrow. Since it will no doubt get dirty again pretty quick I might not bother with this step.
I ought to be arriving in Madrid on Wednesday afternoon sometime, I'll be at the Cat on Wednesday & Thursday but after that there is apparently no room so I'll have to find somewhere else for the rest of the time.
What are your plans ? Probably easiest to meet in the Cat on Wed afternoon.
you may well be there before me; I plan to take the ferry from Ceuta tomo and then some form of night transport from South Spain tomo eve getting me to Mad at some point on weds
Yeah there's a few clashes on Friday night, basically from 9PM - 1AM I'd somehow like to be at both main stages at the same time. I guess they won't be all that far apart.
I think I have more albums of the bands at this festival than any previous one I've been to, even some of the horrible dancey stuff. I bought a Cornelius album a couple of months ago and thats just weird bleeps and bloopy noises but I know he does have some very good songs ( not on this album though ) and I have had an etienne de crecy album for a couple of years but never listened to more than 3 songs in a row, it's called Superdiscount and all the song titles are things like "Everything must go", "Low, low prices", "Special offer" but in French, obviously.
Anyway not being at work I am bored so I just thought I'd share that with you.
Of those acts I have albums by Blondie, Primal Scream, The Verve, 2ManyDJs, Etienne de Crecy (called Superdiscount 2!), Ian Brown, We Are Scientists, Juan Mclean, The Verve, Mogwai, The Breeders, Kings of Leon, Mogwai, Sex Pistols, CSS, The Stranglers and Tiga.
Apparently Fred Deakin of Lemon Jelly decided to start making music after hearing Superdiscount. Anyway being at work, without the required attention for computer programming I am bored so I thought I'd share that with you

CLUB inhabit a city in Middle England called Birmingham, their mission is to find amusing, diverting and character building activities with which to while away the time left before the last remaining member is dead. Joining CLUB is easy, leaving is - under some circumstances - even easier.

Piccies
Some photos of the festival, most of the band ones that turned out OK ( i.e. not a lot ). More of people/Madrid to come later. Once I've slept.

Important Lesson
I've just learnt an important lesson about why it's a bad idea to dump your passport on the first available surface when you return from a holiday.
Hot hot hot !

Yark
If I'd have waited until today to book my flights it would have cost £170 !
I have booked in on-line, I'm already to go, apart from packing stuff, and it's very exciting.
Oh yes

Stranglers
I have no interest in the Stranglers or the Sex Pistols. I hope that the Breeders are not as crap as the Pixies were at Benicassim.
Joe are you going to some gay dancing to Tiga again?
