The smoking ban was introduced in England. The first battle of El Alamein began in WWII and it was the first day of the battle for the Somme in WWI.

It's pretty clear which was the worst of the these 3 events. It's also Debbie Harrys birthday so it's not all bad.

40,000

Apparently 40,000 lives have been saved by the smoking ban, does this mean that there are now 40,000 immortals now amongst us?
