3D film... AT BROAD STREET?

Despite the wails of disbelief this weekend it IS true that 3D technology has come to "conventional" cinemas. Broad St UGC has Journey to the Centre of the Earth 3D showing - whilst it may not be a great film I reckon it will be a great experience. The 3D version of Beowulf was amazing - and so was the 3D re-creation of NIghtmare before Christmas which we went to see... just before Christmas.

The new 3D technology focuses as much on depth of field and creating a sense of "being there" as things jumping out of the screen. I reckon it will be worth going to see. You do have to pay an extra £2 or so to see a 3D film but its worth it.

JTTCOFTE 3D

The film was rubbish.

F.

What does the F stand for?

A terrible mistake

I messed up the acronym... just like they messed up the film. Some really good 3D bits and I think kids would love it - but a terrible plot, terrible dialogue and terrible acting.

Seasick

Did it make you seasick?

Sick

I went to the one at Millenium Point. It made me feel seasick.

Bah humbug

Maybe. But the IMAX ones are different - they are different 3D technology and MUCH LARGER which means you are often moving your head to follow the action... it feels different in a "conventional" cinema as you can sit back and see the whole screen.
