Etc/GMT
I have reached a ripe old age for a monkey, yes I have. Whilst usually birthdays fall on a weeknight (boo!!) I am in the nice position of it being on a Friday. I think I will probably end up in a pub in town somewhere... suggestions?

Harborne
We could go to Harborne and see David!
Option
It is an option. He could sing me happy birthday.
Happy Birthday
We could all sing Happy Birthday and then give you 33 bumps.
Sorry
Fess,
Rich and I have gone and taken over your thread to squabble about the Big Chill!
Boozing
Is their an itineray for this event yet, whats the plan, where shall I go, when shall I get there ?
Not sure
Not sure yet.. somewhere in town about 8pm.
Reflex
How about the Reflex bar on Broad Street with the revolving 80's dance floor? ;-)
Revolver
Revolving floors make any party a HYPER PARTY!
Velvet
I love clubbing it up at the Reflex. Far out !
The 80's
If it really was the eighties you wouldn't have got into dance anywhere with your un-ironed shirt and stainboy trousers you oik!
I love the 80's
its just so great. I love cheesy music.
Sour Faced
Then why did you want me to stop dancing to Van Halen and instead watch some sour faced russian art movie?
oooOOOooo
check her out!
Well I could spend over 100 quid to go to a fest and dance at Reflex, or I could spend my money and listen to cool music being played as a back drop to a russian movie because I think I'd rather do something interesting as opposed to listen to Wham! and then be rude to my friends on the internet.
Well...
...I'm sure in your mind you made the right decision.
I
have no doubts Richard. Wham! or cool music. Not a hard choice for me.
However, I am sure that in your mind you made the right decision.
Cool?
Ha ha ha ha ha cool music!!!! I think Cath was right....
Were
you there? No you were not. Do you know what you are talking about? No you don't.
Anyway, who is Cath and what was she right about?
You
still hav'nt revealed who this Cath person is and what she was right about.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha.....
This is how the band that you saw describe their music "venus-bound guitars, glacial rhythms and echoes of early ‘70’s tangerine dream"" - anyone who describes themselves as having echos of Tangerine Dream can fuck right off.
as
opposed to someone who can make snap decisions about something thet have never even witnessed?
Uh?
I don't need to witness something that describes themselves as T.A.T.U mixed with Mogwai (with echoes of Tangerine Cocking Dream) to know that its going to be a pile of arse.
and
I don't need to be told that dancing to 80's music has no "shame" when I know that that is also a pile of arse.
What we have here is one person who witnessed one of these events and one person who witnessed both of these events.
No.
Are you still going on? Boring.
Of
course you've stopped havn't you!
Double boring with an 80's singalong.
.
What Ever!
oooooooooo
ha ha! kettle black pot!
?
Your debating skills are second to none I quiver at your mastery of the English language.
!
What ever!

What Ever !
.
Whatever!
Musical Perfection
When they pulled on their spandex and sat down to create "The Final Countdown" Europe probably didn't realise they were about to create the unsurpassable pinnacle of musical accomplishment since our ape like ancestors ( no doubt under the control of the music hating neandertal ) first bashed jaw bones against their cooking rocks. It's never been equalled and quite frankly music has just gone downhill since then so it most probably never will be
Seems appropriate
It's time for...
Check out the crowd!! Wait - is that Joe singing???
nice
I think they'd probably be quite welcome on venus
Man!!
That guy can sure sing
Cant....stop
I can't stop listening to it!!!
Vocal virtuosity
I think the lead singer even sings his own backing vocals!
Venus... venus...
He
does, no need for complex echo making technology when you can sing the same word twice, only slightly quieter!
Wider
Its surprisingly that the technique isn't used by more singers.
If
i was a singer i'd use it
Tour
I will check out whether they are touring anytime soon... that would be a good gig.
Secret band
I couldn't find any info of the talented band above but I did find this interesting website:
