Mel Gibson... ah, where to start... Obviously, it's hard to make too many judgements on famous people (we get a very skewed view of their character through the media, I suppose) but I think you can see the real signs of egomania and the beginnings of a breakdown here:

Yeah

I'm with Max here too, if it's not bad enough having your family wiped out by some bogans on bikes it's a bit much when some smart assed nobody calls you up and starts making smart alek insinuations that you're still an alcoholic.
