We cant find our way out of the car park, oh, we are in the wrong one.
A long long long drive interrupted by a very pleasant meal in tiny spanish town. I have never ever seen anyone eat an orange in the manner that joe does. Take knife, attempt to half orange, fail, rip open with bare hands, pile of juice on plate, no orange left.
Around 100km from Barcelona, Paul says that he doesn't really wish to drive around the city, we have to look for somewhere else go nearby. We have three choices, Tarragona, Salou and Sitges. Initially Joe wanted to take us to Tarragona, very historical, not really the place to be on your last night says Rob. Salou, similar to Benidorm, Alicante....I reckon the ideal place, not so Joe and Rob. Final choice, Sitges, Joe says oh yes this is obviously the place to be, I thought that Tarragona was this place. Closer inspection reveals very large gay scene, Joe is obviously excited and totally adamant that this is where we go.
We arrive and rent a very pleasant chalet, go swimming in the med, very warm, purchase beer and wine. Sit playing cards until around half twelve then hit the town. Find a bar full of very pretty spanish ladies, sit moaning that we are all crap and couldn't pull a pint let alone a woman.
Move on to the Spanish version of the New Inn, play pool. Move to an Irish Bar, play pool. Find a noisy Spanish bar, drink until in a stupor. Leave at closing time, Paul needs to party hard, he asks anyone who will listen to him if they know where he can get a good time, many amusing replies. Return to first bar, drink whiskey. Barman tells us not to go to a disco bar called Ricki's, Paul decides thats the place to go, but we dont, we go to the chalet. Phil and I head off to bed, Rob, Joe and Paul sit up playing cards till everyone else on the site wakes up.
