Listening to music is generally OK. Depends a lot on the music I suppose. Anyway I am looking for some kind of site which can tell this site when ( selected ) bands are likley to be touring in Birmingham. As yet I have not found one and do not hold out much immediate hope. If you ever come across any thing called "RSS" or "XML" feeds on a kind of Tour Dates site then this is exactly what I am looking for so please let me know.
Here are the web sites of some bands which I would like to be touring soon ( doesn't look like any of them are though ). If there any bands ( which anyone else is likley to have heard of ri$e ) which you think are good and would like to go and see, and think maybe anyone else would like to see too then please edit this page and add links to their sites.

If I dont tell you about bands that you havent heard of then how will you hear of them and just because you havent heard of them doesnt mean that you wouldnt want to hear of them.....
Dont tell me that you havent heard of teenage fanclub anyhow Joe.
As for web sites that are posting club/gig stuff you might want to have a look at The NME but the best thing to do really is to read the local papers (The Metro is very good for local gigs and comedy), pick up free magazines in bars and go to Swordfish and Tempest Records and get fliers.
You will never know if you like a band if you dont go and listen to them anyway. Going to see new bands is pretty hit and miss but you never know you might get to see the new radiohead in the barrel organ :?
